Hey all, I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread specifically for suggested changes, feedback and questions.

This thread differs from the older vBulletin Blog: Feature Request List Thread (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=234079) in that it's not for feature requests, but merely your comments, feedback, suggested changes or questions about the vB Blog based on what you have seen so far: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/blog.php.

The feature request thread was actually posted before the blog was made live here, so I figured we now need a new thread that covers everything else.

Please note: That just by posting a question doesn't mean it will get answered by a dev, the whole purpose of including questions in this thread is to give Devs an idea of what is going through peoples minds - it might help them create an faq or might highlight a common item that may need looking at or addressing.

By keeping feature requests and everything else separate it makes it easier for Devs (and the rest of us) to keep a track of things.

Please start your post by mentioning whether it is a

Note to mods: Please feel free to set up a different system if you feel these two threads are not adequate. It might actually be better to close the other thread and simply add 'Feature Request' in the red list above. If so please feel free to edit this post and the title.

Suggested Change

Move Latest comments block to the right hand column. This gives more room for the actual entries list. In the extra room show which category the entry has been posted in - this helps people browsing the blog homepage get more of an idea of what the entry may be about. At the moment it looks (and works/feels) a bit too much like a 'shout box'.

Of course it would be even better if Admin can control 'blocks' and choose to do the above. It would also be nice to be able to show the blog homepage like a blog user homepage with a preview of the entry too, eg like this: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/blog.php?u=8481

Question

Is it too late to get in on the Private Beta? I'm quite sure loads of people would be interested in this :D

Change 'Uncategorized' to be part of categories to edit. I just found out that you can not move 'Uncategorized' topics to newly created categories.

Feedback/Suggestion/Question all rolled into one :D

Will the blog side of things be allowed to run independantly of the forums? Why limit the blog and social aspect side as just an addition to a forum? Perhaps include the option to allow the blog side to be use without even having the forum switched on? :D

We don't have a release date yet. It is in pre-beta testing here at the moment and then there will be a series of private betas before it is made available for purchase.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create a brief, simple video for articulating feedback for the vBulletin Blog add-on and some of my initial impressions of it, what I like, what I dislike, what features I'd like to see added in the future, etc.

To view the blog entry and the video, please visit my blog (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/blog.php?b=446).

Thank you in advance, and I look forward to your comments!

Enjoy! :)

Kind Regards,
Brandon

Hmmm... why 2 threads? Maybe it's just best to keep it within 1 single thread really : the other one get's much more exposure at the moment (not that small threads are not read... but hey! ;)). If that's ok?
