It would be nice if issues could be considered "closed" based on status.
For example, a Bug-type issue that has a status of "Fixed", "Not a Bug" or "Duplicate" could be considered closed, preventing further posts to that issue.
One possible set of features that would accomplish this:
Under Issue Status settings, have a new field (boolean) to indicate whether this status should mark the issue as "closed"
Under project permissions settings for usergroups, have a new set of permissions which indicate whether or not the usergroup can post to "closed" issues.
Allow users to petition to have an issue status changed even when the issue has been marked as closed.
