Although this post and any attachments are believed to be free of any virus or other defect that might negatively affect any computer system into which it is received and opened, it is the responsibility of the recipient to ensure that it is virus free and no responsibility is accepted by the sender or Jason J. Hung, P. C. for any loss or damage arising in any way in the event that such a virus or defect exists.

Perhaps the creators of vBulletin ("Jelsoft") may wish to create a pspell add-on? It seems perfectly plausible to use pspell to suggest spellings for incorrectly spelled words. What do you think?

I think pspell is the only "free" solution available for use with PHP. Perhaps Jelsoft could setup a virtual host or server to handle requests from licensed owners of vBulletin by charging an extra fee and authorizing a URL (for instance, check to see if the last URL is from an allowed domain name) with an installation of pspell and a script designed to work with checking spelling. I would pay ten (10) U.S. dollars for such service a month.

If you had used the search functionality, you would have found several discussions on this very issue and been alerted to the fact that Jelsoft is developing a spellchecker to use with vBulletin.

My apologies, wluke. I typed in "p-spell." That probably cause some of the problems in respect to no search results.

If you look in General Chat, you will see that I was strongly considering doing just what you suggest (topic = "Would you pay for a spellchecker"). I have the scripts and so on set up but I'm wondering if it is worth it seeing as Jelsoft have one under development.
