Hi,

I don't like to think of myself as a 'grass' - but I don't I also don't like to see people breaching the copyright rules (in effect it works to the detriment of those who don't breach the rules) - but I don't believe this is allowed:-

I think its a pretty blatent attempt at 'hiding' as the template would have had to be edited explicitly to 'hide' the copyright notice.

PS. Quite Shameful that it has been done by a very large corporate company - Nottingham Forest Football Club!!!!

You can't see the 'main' site because the forums usually in a frame but look at http://www.nottinghamforest.co.uk - shame on them!!

Well what really bugged me about this case is that the forum and website are run by a multi (and I mean multi) million pound company. I know that Jelsoft provide 'situation' specific pricing for removing 'copyright' notices - therefore I guess this would be very substantial in this case. That money would have gone back into the 'company' and the development of the product - which we all benifit from. I don't know how long the have been running that board for or how much potential revenue Jelsoft have lost as a result of that 'infringement', but I don't see why they should be allowed to get away with it. To me it looks like a cynical attempt at removing the copyright notice - keep it in the source code so we can't get sued but remove it from view so it appears to be all our own product.

I just hope Jelsoft get the money out of them they could have made/or have potentially lost, plus a fair bit more - after all a company of this size would do anything to avoid any bad publicity.

Changing the font of the disclaimer to match the color of the background is not an allowed practice.
