Hello, i hope this is the right place. I think it is after some time of roaming this forum.

I was convinced by some pals to purchase vb- and i did over the weekend (4 days now). I am totally new to all this owning a site, webhosting, etc field. So just be nice as this question may sound too elementary- but is just my way of getting info from you guys here since i have a license now.

1) I bought vb with professional installation? What does professional Installation entail/mean? It doesnt entail the actual webdesign- does it? if it doesnt do you guys have webdesign as a service to be bought?

2) The Testing Demo-- what do i need before i can test the demo?

I need to get this site off by the end of the week- hopefully.

Thanks to whoever responds. If this the wrong section please let me know where to post this.

1. The installation includes installing vB on your server andd gettingt it running. It does not include any setup or customizations.

2. No need to run the demo test if you have a license.

I was hoping you would reply-- i've read so many of your responses in other threads already.

1)So the installation is about placing the software on the server. So back to my questiong again-- what does that entail-- eg Does the one who does this provides protection from hackers? i mean is it just about placing the software on a server?

And can you kindly explain what customizations are? i suppose this is what a webdesigner does. Which since you indicated otherwise i have to seek elsewhere. If so do you have any suggestions (if it is an improper question just dont answer)

Thanks.

It entails uploading the vB files, crqeating the database and running the install script. After that we go through a seriies of tests to make sure evertything is working correctly.

Customizations are any changes you would make - your own forums and forum names, colors, logo, etc.
