Hi
I have this problem that my system admin has apparently installed pirated
version of VBulletin 3.6 on my server. I tought that VBulleting was a free
script, but friend of mine told me it is not. Now i have the problem that i
have very active VBulletin forum that is pirated, and i need to buy the
product. How do i switch from the pirated version to real one? I could
ofcourse use the pirated version and just buy the license, but i don't
trust pirated software and i want the real thing.
Do i just buy it and take backup of the old one, then just install the new
one and restore back up or is there risks that the pirated one will give me
bad back up? God damn, what a mess that guy left behind this is not the
only software we were running illegally. In these days you can't trust
anyone it seems.
Also, we have been useing the pirate version for sometime, so should we
contact someone and pay more for the already used time or how do i
continue?
Please Advice
