Converting questions

I currently use phpBB v2 and am looking to pay for vBulletin.

However, I paid for a designer to integrate the phpbb forum into my websites design. If I purchase vbulletin, will I be able to do this easily (I know nothing about web design) as I don't want to have to pay for a designer to do the same again?!?

That depends on exactly what changes were made. The phpBB styles are not imported so you will need to redo this in vB.
