Hey Guys/Girls.... I"m a new member who is looking to use this vbulletin.

I like the features/smileys and the clean look it has.

So first off big ups! Respect.

I'm from Texas and well.. Not to get into detail. I wanna purchase this software to run a forum related to music. ( i don't have expierence ) in this field of updating and adding multiple things that may be needed, but I still wanna work with this software and hope that I can get my help here if anything.

Friends call me Phil Serna aka djfs3.

And I'll be looking for hosting as well.

Please discuss with me as into, what is my first step?

Thanksssss

Thanks! I would believe that "vBulletin (Owned License)" is the best way to go? So I won't have to worry about updating my vbulletin as I use the software?

Am I correct?

A leased license is valid for one year from the date of purchase and costs 85 USD. An owned license is valid forever and costs 160 USD. You may upgrade a leased license to an owned license within 60 days of the purchase date, if you wish. With an owned license, you need to pay 30USD a year in order to continue to download new versions released outside the year you had access(I hope I described that adequately).

IMO, an owned license is your best bet. If your current project fails, you can reuse that license elsewhere.

Also, you will need to update the software regardless of the type of license you buy, in order to remain secure and have bugs fixed that were found.
