vBulletin 2.1

I think I read awhile back that the vBulletin 2.1 would be a more optimised version. Either that or someone said that before they work on any other backends that they would release a newer version optimized more for MySql. Does anybody know when this new version will happen?

I believe what you read was about 2.0. While there would be optimizations in 2.1 (or any other release) there isn't going to be an overhaul of the system as you make it sound.

Other RMDBS' are being evaluated and will probably be at least 6 months to a year down the road, at the very least.
