Translatio to portuguese

I downloaded the lite version, and I really appreciate the quality of vbulletin.

I have (what I consider) quite good knowledge in php, mysql, css, javascript, and I would like to make a portuguese (standard) translation of it to use, but I have to buy it to do so, my question is:

Must I buy vbulletin to do the translation, or do you facilitate in these situations?

I'd like to use the software, but in portuguese.
