Hey guys I just wanted to let the vb team know of a site which is using a pirated vb, and has also removed the copyright notices. Here the thread in which you can see both the lack of copyright notice and the admin stating that he is using a stolen copy.

I hate the site I hope it gets shut down.

what a rediculous philosophy, if that was "really" the case then we could have no law enforcment, no justice system etc.. blah blah blah. Anything people can do to help jelsoft combat piracy is a good thing.

I totally disagree ... informers are the worst people on earth. Sorry but this attitude reminds me of mid-90s fascist movements.

There are a lot of other ways to fight piracy and this is definitly NOT the right one.

On top of this, reporting of a pirated software on a public board is terrible and totally inappropriate, thank you tubedogg for moderating this.

Sorry...but I beg to differ. I agree Kevin took appropriate action and the site names should not have been posted and instead, submitted via email to the address provided. HOWEVER, if I busted my *** building a piece of software and invested the time and money into it and tried to build a legitimate business around it, I would hope that someone would inform me if my COPYRIGHTED product was being stolen and reproduced somewhere. Place yourself in the other person's shoes before passing judgement.
