Permissions

The Forum-Permissions override the user-permissions.
If I have 8 private forums, I must modify very much in the permissions. If still one comes in addition, I must adapt again all rights. That is a high expenditure.
I would be better, when user-permissions override the Forum-Permissions. Thus the work expended would be reduced.

The user permissions settings will certainly be up for review in the future, and I think that your suggestion there is a good one. Although they do provide a powerful tool, it is quite a large effort to set them up.

If you are setting private forums, then it may help to use the 'Private Forum' option available when you modify a forum. This will set up some forum-permissions for you.
