I am planning on trying vB out and then purchasing it, but I was wondering....can you have the REPLY number hyperlinked rather than the subject. Then you would probably be able to tell if you have read a subject or not! The link color would change back to "unread" if the # of replies changed...correct? So, can we choose to have the "reply" number hyperlinked to take us to the thread as opposed to the subject??

Hi Cindy,
This would be very easy to do because vbulletin it completely run from templates. Would not be a problem at all. Just a matter of editing one line of html in the appropriate template.

Also vbulletin already has a nifty litte feature under the "last post" column. It says:
--> 08-07-2000 03:25 PM by TechTalk

And the little arrow --> actually links directly to the last reply in that thread!

thanks, Chris...if this will work the way I am hoping it will work, it will make vB exactly what I'm looking for. Time to test the free version and then purchase the full one. If anyone has his/her boards set up this way, I'd love to have the URL so I could see it in action.

I have my visited link color set to the same as my link color so it doesnt do much good on my site. But you get the idea :)

Hoping that by having the replies hyperlinked, one will be able to know exactly what you has been read. Just seeing the times of the latest replies won't give you that information because you may have not read something that was "old".
