after importing form ipb hwo do i?

OK well i tried searching the forums but the keyword gives me many topics..

my question is.. after i import all users ect ect form ipb..

users have problems to log in like their password don't work i currently run a board with over 80 thousand members and well is going to be a lil hassle to activate and change all those passwords with lazy people or people who don't know

how can i activate all those accounts so that when i import the user can login with his current password?

Depends on what version of IPB.

If its 1.3 the passwords should be fine as long as the usergroup has been sorted.

If its 2.x then passwords aren't imported and this is the option :

yeah i use ipb 2.2

thanks ill try that.. another thing since ipb allows use to change thir user name.. how can i do something similar on vb? is there an addon or script? thats another problem i need to resolve before im change to vb thansk for the fast reply and support appreciate it

did you mean if i have 2.1.7 ipb the passwors he we are imported
