Hi,

I downloaded the software to my computer, unzipped the folder, then uploaded via FTP the contents of the folder named upload to my cPanel hosting account in the public_html folder, in subfolder named forums.

Now, when I go to mydomain.com/forums I get some error messages instead of the board.

These are the errors that I get:

--------------------
Warning: vB_Registry::include(/home/myusername/public_html/forums/includes/config.php) [function.vB-Registry-include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/myusername/public_html/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 2358

Warning : vB_Registry::include() [function.include]: Failed opening '/home/myusername/public_html/forums/includes/config.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/myusername/public_html/forums/includes/class_core.php on line 2358

Configuration: includes/config.php does not exist. Please fill out the data in config.php.new and rename it to config.php
-----------------------------

Does this problem have to do with the databases of MySQL and/or phpMyAdmin ? I don't know what I'm supposed to do with these databases. So far, I've only uploaded to my account as I said above.

What would I need to do next in order for my forum to appear?

Thanks,

Rony

Inside the includes folder is a config.new file your suppose to open it in a editor such as notepad and fill in your mysql details, and then save it as config.php .

How do I know or where do I go to find out what are my mysql details?

You would have to create a database in cPanel and you would get them there.

You can read the general installation instructions for vBulletin here:
