Noobie! VB_Test not even working!

Hi

I'm very new to the whole forum/php/mysql thing! I am IT Literate though. I've just downloaded PHP and MySQL. I have installed them on my Win XP Pro system. It seems to me that everything is working, i did follow the instructions for installing PHP and actioned all the reconmendations.
I added the vb_test.php file to the root of my website (Intranet) and I get the VB_test page appear. When I enter the details and click 'run test' i just get a page that has an empty box in it. The box is also about 5 pixels in height!

Any suggestions (helpful one's ;)) will be appreciated!

well it seems asking the question has helped me answer it. I have just found that I didn't take out the remark next to Php_mysql.dll in the php.ini.
