I've set a usergroup so they can have x specifics on their signatures. I then went to maintenance / update counters / empty signature cache anticipating that the members of the said usergroup would have their signatures rebuilt according to the usergroup permissions as set down previously. This has not been the case though.I've gone to individual members and confirmed that they are not members of secondary groups (which may have overridden their signatures) etc.It was set so they could use a maximum size of 1, no colours and only bbcode.Yet still, these members are showing full coloured and styled (sizes, etc) signatures despite updating the counters.Am I missing anything?

The changes in permissions for colors, sizes, and other styling (basic editing) bb codes do not take effect until the signature is edited by the user.

Ah.. thanks :)So...what is the point of rebuilding it then, if it has no impact?

It allows you to recreate the cache and lower resources if your signature cache is lost for some reason.

so basically,
if I have 1000 users with big signatures, and I restrict the signatures... there is no way to rebuilt these so they are not big anymore?

No, changing this setting is not retroactive to existing sigs.

Is there an effective way to quickly delete all existing sigs for all usergroups forcing them to start fresh?
