Would you mind if I used your rules here (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42918) on my site?

You can use then as a baseline but please do not plagiarize them word-for-word. Thank you.

Thanks. I'll post a link to my rules page so you can see if I copied verbatim.

Maybe it's just me... but those rules aren't really similar to vBulletin.com's rules at all. In terms of how they're written and set out I mean.

I tried to reword them as much as I could. I did look at the vbulletin rules for inspiration though.

Here's what I'm using as the main rules for my forum. Not that they could cover all of the cases, but it's more than enough for my 2300 users, most of them aren't causing any troubles anyway =)

Not Permitted:
1. The use of abusive language in thread names.
2. Insults against the other forum participants.
3. Intentional misinformation or posts from "one's name" (users doing the second will get banned).
4. Advertisements of online projects not related to sub-forum's theme. Any and all advertising through the forum is done only after one of our administrators approved it via a PM. If the poster is suspected to be a bot, the account and its IP addresses will be banned. If the posted advertisement wasn't approved by the admins, the account will also be banned.
5. National intolerance.
6. Posting of sexually-explicit images or links.
7. Repeated registration upon receiving a ban. Such action will trigger another ban featuring all of your IPs.

And of course you're welcome to grab any of those that you like or to suggest additional ones which might also be helpful for the other forum administrators.

I too much admire the way the vBulletin Rules (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42918) were posted here.

I've thought quoting from them for my board, but they didn't help as they are in another language than mine.
