It seems that since I've upgraded our forum, the nav bar and other bars look...well....flat?
I'm wondering if this was part of the upgrade or if this is indicative of something else?

And what is supposed to be wrong exactly?

the nav bar, it used to look more like the Kirsh style, now it and the thread tool bars look more 2D, before they had a bit of a 3D look to them, like the Kirsh style.

I don't know what to tell you. Still not sure what you mean. Try this. Create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Then change to this style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying...create a new style? If that's something that can be done without actually designing an entirely new style, then I might e able to do it, but if I have to actually go and create a new style, I don't know how to do that and don't quite have the time to mess with it.
Now I know it's not just me, within 5 minutes of making the upgrade, I had 4 different users complaining about the new look.

created a new style and it still looks the same.
Something changed in the template, but I don't know what or where to go to fix it.
More and more users are complaining about it now.

What's the link to the new style? If you did this correctly then it will look exactly like it does here.

I don't see how that can be the original style and templates. You have cleartly changed something else.
Reupload the original vbulletin-style.xml file to the install directory. Then upload the tools.php script in the 'do_not_upload' folder of the vB zip file to your Admin CP directory and run it from your browser. Then reimport the vbulletin-style.xml file by running tools.php from your browser. Immediately remove tools.php when you are done.
