didn't change config.php before upgrade?

I goofed.

I skipped a step in our forum upgrade and I'm wondering what the consequences are.

I didn't rename config.php.new to config.php before going through the upgrade process.

Am I ok to change the file now, after the upgrade?

If you have upgraded from 3.5.0 or later then no changes are required to config.php so you can leave it as it is and just delete the config.php.new file from your server.

so if I went from 3.6.3 to 3.6.5 I don't need to worry about it?

No, you are fine with your original config.php file. If you need to change it then you will be prompted about this and the upgrade would not occur.
