Ok There is A LOT of info on this forum.

I KNOW NOTHING about php and myslq (stop laughing if I spelled all that wrong!)
I was going to attempt to install this myself... um yah I quit.
So I need a site that I can transfer my domain FROM yahoo and have them host as well as install vb for me FOR A REASONABLE price!

ANYONE HAVE SUGGESTIONS? This is all out of my own pocket so I don't have tons to spend on installation!

I would probably say GoDaddy or B-Powers (link in siggy). Also, if you want to go for Apache2Triad, a php, mysql, and apache software combined to a one easy install, tell me and I can PM the link. You will have to set DMZ to your computer if you have a network.

I wouldn't use GoDaddy for hosting.

Most shared hosts have PHP and MySQL installed, so you should be able to find any number of them. As long as they meet the minimum requirements for vBulletin then you will be fine.

The minimum requirements are PHP version 4.3.3 and MySQL version 4.0.16.

There is a vBulletin installation service provided by vBulletin which can be purchased through your members area.

Agreed, I would second the "No GoDaddy for Vbulletin" notion

I vote against GoDaddy as well, having left them before the end of the year.

Our vBulletin board (see www.theparacast.com/forums), now at DreamHost, has twice has many posts since that departure and performance continues to be quite good.

Peace,
