leased license question

I'm on my way to by a forum website runing on leased license Version 3.6.3
that expires in about 5 months.and from what I know that leased license can't be transfered . So what can I do regarding that because I don't want to make any changes on the website or its template.

a license is not the whole site... if you modify your licensing, you can continue to manage the same exact site, no problem... you will simply have to buy your license, upgrade if you want, uploading the new files to replace the others... tada!

He'd have to buy, because the license isn't his and leased licenses can't be transfered. It's simple to change files from one license to another (just upload and overwrite).
