Hi all,
I'm considering purchasing vBulletin for the non-profit organization I contract with. At this time I'm trying to determine if it will work with our current webhost. I've asked our webhost and he asked me this question:

We do have PHP and MySQL running on our Webservers. Can you provide the database configuration you require?

I don't know how to answer this and I can't seem to find any info about it on this site. I've already given him the version requirements for vBulletin, so I'm guessing that's not the information he needs.

Can anyone tell me what I need to know to answer this question?

Thanks so much!
Christy

Not sure what they are asking either, but the database user needs to have full permissions to the database. If they mean something else then ask them for clarification.

I believe, the thing you need to tell them is that you're planning to use a software which requires at least PHP 4.3.3 and MySQL 4.0.16 or later. And, based on my own experience, the 'max_allowed_packet' setting for MySQL should be 32 MB or about it.
