I am not sure where to post this question. I belive this is the closest place..

How to move from one server to another..

I have seen lots of threads on this but the answers were always on how to move your database from one server to another http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/..

But my question is how to transfer your vbulletin installation to a new server.. what do i need to move from the files? Do i have to do fresh installation? what about all of the hacks installed and the add ins like arcade, articles and any other product.. should i reinstall them again?

What about the styles, should i redo it also?

What will happen when i move the forum, should i make the forum offline in the old server and then work on the new one..
I am a little confused on where to start...
Any help? Thanks alot...

All steps that are needed to move your complete board are outlined at Moving Servers (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/moving_servers)

If you have any specific questions that are not covered there, please let us know.

Do you have control panel in your server? If your new server have the same control panel chance is you only need to do the transfer between control panel, which is usually very easy

yah i am using the simple control panel.. it is the same one on both servers... my problem is not with the database, but with the vbulletin software.. should i do a fresh installation or should i move the same config files from the first server to the second server and then upload the database?

basically this is my question..

Just copy your vbulletin folder from the old server to the new one. If you're using WHM, just use the Copy Account feature.
