Hi, i'm new here

I'm very interessed in buying a license for vBulletin but I won't have the money to buy until at least 2 weeks.

I wanted to be sure i could install VBTT and do what i want, so i'm currently using a nulled board without license on my server.

My question is: do vBulletin piracy team enter in contact with the webmaster first or they directly e-mail the host to take down my site?

If vBulletin e-mail my host, i know they will desactivate my site and I paid for it.

Other question: Is the $160 in US or Canadian dollar? Can i order by mail with a post order if i live in Canada?

Once you purchase a license you will be fine. The price is in USD, not Canadian.

I'm purchasing in 2 weeks, as soon as I have the money.

But this doesn't answer my question... Who does vbulletin piracy team e-mail first? The site's owner or the webhost?

they will contact you to convince you to buy a license... and without response, you will be trashed by your host.. :)

According to the sticky thread by Floris, it says that Jelsoft will contant you (the owner of the board) and offer you a deal: purchase a license or remove all the vB files from your site.

Note that although purchasing a license will "legalize" your nulled files, you might want to consider replacing them with the official Jelsoft scripts, as many nulled scripts tend to add back doors or other unwanted effects.

Awesome, thanks for the answer :) Will I also need to install a fresh database?

Also, are we allowed to re-sell the license to someone after you bought it and don't want to use it anymore?

You can keep the database, I don't think it will be effected.

Yes you are allowed to re-sell the licence however, it has to be registered for ATLEAST 3 months and be an OWNED licence.

Only active owned license can be transferred. You can read this policy under the license agreement here:

No, the database should be fine. You'd just likely want to replace the vB files themselves.
