Good hosting for a small site

After waiting about 3 days with no response to a problem I am having, AFTER waiting a week for them to fix my domain issue prior to this one, I thnk I'm about ready to change over.

I've never had this problem with my current host, and I am surprised that they'd act like this, but I guess sometimes good things come to an end.

I'm not looking for much. Somewhere around 500MB/5GB transfer per month would be fine. I'm running a really small and new site and just trying to take off. All the basics (php, mysql, etc) are needed.

Any recommendations?

Well, I have been hosting with www.realwebhost.com (http://www.realwebhost.com) for about 3 years now.

I run several vBulletin sites with them, and I have been in this industry now as a professional web developer for 12 years. I have had my share or "nightmare hosts," trust me. *sigh*

Joey is the owner there, and I have to tell you, I have had ZERO down time, and if I have had any sort of issue server side or even from my own fault, they've been immediate in helping me...

... so maybe thats an option for you.

I actually was able to find a host. I went with asmallorange.com
