Style Update

Let's assume that I have a heavily modified style or downloaded one from a web site.

How can I update it when I switch to a newer version?

Is there a quick 'n dirty solution for that? Or do we have to update every single template that is outdated, by hand?

Most small changes won't be to hard to re-apply, i suggest to simply do that.
The more complex one, check if the page still loads, and if so, if the new functionality is there, and if everything works. if so.. you could leave it be, or you have to revert and re-apply the changes.
