I need to move my servers outside my location so I'm evaluating some companies.
Right now I'm headed to "The Planet", it seems one of the best compromize between service and price.

Can you give me some suggestion ?

The planet told me I can use for free their MySql data base, is it what you do with the vbulletin.com server or you rented two servers ?
I could rent just one good server and save some money.

I saw this other options :

http://www.49pence.com
http://www.leaseweb.com

49pence seems to have powerful servers (Dual Xeon), fast lines (10Mb unmetered) and cheap offers (£99 and less), can be true ?

The Planet is an excellent provider. One clarification though, they do not provide a MySQL server for your use. That configuration option is asking whether or not you would like it installed on YOUR server (assuming that it doesn't come with the control panel you order, if any).

As to those other two companies, I've never heard of them and you really do get what you pay for.

I probably misunderstood the MySql set up thing.

What do you suggest me for this forum (www.bodyweb.it/forums) and this ecommerce (www.musclenutrition.com) Jason ?
They count about 10.000 sessions a day, then I have some minor site.

I thought about european ISP for the faster responsiveness (ping time)

Without knowing more about your site, existing hardware, load, traffic stats, etc. I really wouldn't want to make a recommendation. I would suggest that you open a hardware optimization thread in the appropriate forum, have your existing software optimized, and then make a determination as to where you'll need to go.

Regarding a provider in Europe, if that is where your users are located then that would be a better idea.

Thx Jason, I'll look for something in Europe, 49pence.com seems a good deal (bad name btw).
Actually I can't post you an hardware becouse I'm looking for one, that was my request.

Right now I have something like this (2 machines) but sometimes everything slows down :

OS, Suse Linux

Web server :
P4 2.4 Ghz
512 Cache
1,5 Giga RAM
2*120 Giga Sata 10000 rpm
Load on a server 4/5 , CPU 90%

Mysql Server :
P4 2.4 Ghz
512 Cache
1,0 Giga RAM
2*120 Giga Sata 10000 rpm
Load on a server 1/2 , CPU 20-80%

Are you sure about those hard drives? To my knowledge, there have never been 10K RPM 120GB drives.

Am I sure ? NO.
Probably they are 7200 rpm.
