Cookie quesion... switching from IP to domain

Greetings all,

I am moving my current site do a new dedicated server. While the site is at the new server it will be at an IP address until I get the domains transferred.

Will my users have one cookie for the IP and then have to get another cookie/login again when they get the domain get's put there?

The board will be brand new at the new server, so they will get the IP cookie as the first one.

Just curious as to what will actually happen.

Actually this just happend to me today, I was running on a new dedicated server via an IP for a week, now that the DNS changes went through, I now have another cookie. Not really a big deal though, just had to log in again :)
