How hard is it to import? IPB Question

I just took over a forum using IPB Version 2.1.1 and I'm already finding the software to be far behind vBulletin. I started my own forum about a year ago and without any experience at all figured out how to upload the forum (vBulletin) and got it working. I haven't messed around with it much... so this basically means I am a complete noob. I want to switch from IPB over to vBulletin and I was wondering how hard it is, and if it would be too hard for someone like me to do myself. Thank you.

It shouldn't be hard at all. Please read the online Impex import instructions here:

If you are running IPB version 2, please note that since IPB passwords are encrypted, they cannot be imported. Your users will need to reset their passwords after the import. You can read more about this here:
