Is this Server enough?

Hi,

I'm setting up a board for a client and need a Server. The Client has absolutely no IT Experience so all Information I have is that it will be like this board:

(1000 User, User Max was 100)
I dont have a budget (that doesnt mean unlimited or enough to buy dedicated power machine), I was told to get a "fast enough" server

I thout I just grab a Virtual-Server from Strato ( www.strato.de )

(short: 9€, 500GB traffic, minRAM 128, maxRAM 500, max clients on server: 10
25€ 1500GB traffic, minRAM 512, maxRAM1000, max clients on server: 10)

So, what do you think?
(examples: the slow one is enough, get the 25€ server, the are all to slow ...)

quick answers are welcome, because the client wants the board every minute (but i dont want to rush it)

You might need to live in Germany to get one from Strato. Well except if they did change their TOS.

I would take a basic server with Cpanel over the US or EU with 2 hdd and at least 2 Gb of ram, ... but that's my opinion. Do you have high ressources scripts ? such as a video/pictures gallery ?
