I was just wondering how do some members have hyperlinking in their signatures? How do you do it?

Thanks
Steven

you use the vB codes, vB codes are allowed in the sigs, but HTML is not.

A sort-of related question.... I tried to use the [ url ] tag twice in my signature, but all the text from the first url starting point and the last closing url tag was all considered one url, instead of two. This a bug?

I don't know, never really used a sig, lets see...

can one of you please post exactly what you put in the signatures field, so I could see what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks again

Ready for this...
The hyperlink works fine now on this forum, but when I tried to copy and paste the info on mine, all I got was text. What should I do, I'm running 1.1.3 Beta 3

Eva-
I have allowed signatures in my cp settings. I was now wondering how I can turn html off in posts? Maybe that's the problem. My forum rules template shows this
<B>Who Can Read The Forum?</b> Any registered user or guest.<br>
<b>Who Can Post New Topics?</b> Any registered user.<br>
<B>Who Can Post Replies?</b> Any registered user.<br>
<b>Changes:</b> Messages can be edited by their author. Messages can be deleted by their author.<br>
<b>Posts:</b> HTML code is $htmlcodeon. <a href="index.php?action=showsmilies" target=_blank>Smilies</a> are $smilieson. <a href="index.php?action=bbcode" target=_blank>vB code</a> is $bbcodeon. [IMG] code is $imgcodeon.

After I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why my forum would not allow me to have hyperlinked signatures, I've come up with nothing. I just can't figure it out :mad
If anyone can visit my forums, and tell me what the problem is, I'd really appreciate it

ah...

admin control panel -> modify forum -> at the bottom, allow html check it as off :)

also if you want to have html off but need to use some more html codes...

control panel -> add custom vbcodes :)

i added vbcodes to

<center></center> tag
<font size="1"></font> tags
