I (at one time) had aim , icq, custom status, and some other hacks added to my ubb setup and as a result, as most of you know, I have a few extra lines in my member files.
I am assuming this is going to be a problem for conversion to vb but please tell me im wrong! If this is a problem have any of you run into it and what did you do to fix it?
Thanks

As long as you didn't change any of the default fields from UBB (not like you would, without completely modifying the program), then vB will just ignore the additional fields. If you want to import them, then you're going to have to make some adjustments to import.php

I imported over 1500 members, 3000 posts and each one came over perfectly. I also had the AIM field added into my user's profile. In fact, it would be pretty easy to hack the import script to pull in those fields as well if you would like.

I've looked at the code but don't want to fool around too much with new code, php new to me, mysql new to me, so if someone already wrote a hack, would appreciate the url.
From what I can tell, are there only two places in the import script that have to be changed?
There's the beginning section which lists all the fields, then there's a mysql insert section where it's inserted. Or is there a call to another mysql insert?
Thanks!
