Upgrading from 3.5.3 to 3.6.4 question

Hi,
I have been hesitive to install an update from my current version of 3.5.3 to the latest version of 3.6.4 in fear of losing a lot of settings.

By installing and updating will all my customs settings be lost, where I will have to go back in and reset them all over again (such as forum colors, etc..) or will they remain?

Upgrading will always overwrite any hacks or changes you made to the vB files. However vB 3.5 contains a new 'Plugin' system that allows you to install add-ons without altering any code. Upgrading will not overwrite any add-ons through Plugins. Also upgrading will not overwrite custom templates.

Nonetheless you should seriously consider reverting any updated templates to get the full advantage of all bug fixes and improvements. And it is possible that your plugins will need to be updated as well.
