My sites are currently running on a dedicated WinNT server & I plan on upgrading the hardware very soon. Along with this upgrade I've been considering also upgrading to Win2K at the same time.

I've never used Win2K or IIS 5 & was wondering if there were any definite benefits of moving to this platform from WinNT & IIS 4... ?

More specifically, are there any benefits to running vBulletin (& PHP/MySQL in general) on either WinNT or Win2K? Has anyone encountered problems with running all of this after moving to Win2K?

Thanks.

Even though I love Linux and think it's the best hosting platform....

I think you will be better off starting out with Win2K... the first service pack was just released yesterday, so there shouldn't be any major problems with it for a while. And the performance benefits are certainly there. The only downside would be if you're short on memory, then stick with NT4.
