Hi. Wanted to know if upgrade.php is included in the upgrade*.php files to delete after installation. Should I delete it or not? Thanks in advance.

You should delete the install.php and upgrade*.php files now as a security precaution. It is safe to leave the other install directory files intact since they may prove useful in the future. Once you have deleted these files you can return to the installer script and click the link to enter the Administrator Control Panel of your freshly installed vBulletin!

Delete the /install/ folder when you're done.

Actually, only install.php needs to be deleted.

Actually, only install.php needs to be deleted. While that may be true, the install folder is not needed for vbulletin to run, and IMO its good practice to remove the whole folder. :)

Some maintenance functions, mainly in tools.php, use the xml files in the install folder though.

Yeah nothing can really be done with the other files :).

Put them back when you need them? :D

The vb online documentation says to delete the upgrade*.php file. Is that the same as the upgrade.php file?

I ran Suspect File Versions right after a new install and it said "upgrade.php File not found"

Should I reupload it?

Delete install.php and upgrade.php must be deleted.
I personally myself delete the whole install folder.

Several staff members just told you install.php is the only file that needs to be deleted :)

So why does the online manual say to delete the upgrade.php file?
