Directory permissions?

Of all things I've searched threads, help system, and the install read me, but can't find all the directory permissions.

I know an install or upgrade gets them right, but I had to load from a backup.

Also, when I set, should I just use a standard 'chmod 755 attachments' or add any parms?

This really depends on the server but most of the time directories should be chmod'd to 755 and files to 644.
