Drop-Down menus disappear behind Flash ad - solution?

Hello :) In an effort to increase its visibility, I'm moving our 728x90 leaderboard banner down under the navbar. Problem is, if the banner is Flash, at least in Firefox the Vb dropdown menus (search, quicklinks) drop behind the flash banner, making them mostly invisible. Is there a way around this?

This is also an issue with flash chat, but seeing as both would be seen as hacks, it may be better to ask the question on vb.org rather than here.

Would love to know how to fix it though as I know a forum with the same problem.

This is a browser issue and related to the layer that objects are put into. The only way to resolve it is to hide the flash object via javascript when a dropdown is activated.

It is a well known and longstanding issue with multimedia based pages.
