100+ usergroups. Will this impact forum performance/load?

thanks for the fast response. I was hoping for something definite so as not to delete them without good reason. Anyway I can check?

Theres no specific number, really once your closer to the 1000 mark its going to be bad.

I help mod a forum where we have over 45 paid subscription types (bout 20 usergroups), and 15 default usergroups. They have over 2 million posts and run the forum on 2 servers. The 35+ usergroups don't appear to be an extra load on the system.
