Thanks for the security fix, much appreciated.

I have a question, however. Since obviously we are living in trouble times, and there is no assurance that another security hole will not be discovered in the future, I would like to question the necessity to report the vBulletin version our sites are running, in the copyright text ($vbphrase powered_by_vbulletin). I see no reason in having the version information there, so I took the liberty of changing that phrase to " Powered by: vBulletin" instead of " Powered by: vBulletin Version x.y.z".

Am I stupid or what?
I have not found any link that points to the update to 3.0.17 though it is discussed in lots of places.

The minimum you can have in your copyright without purchasing Copyright Removal is pointed out here: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1185941&postcount=11'

So yes, you could remove the version number if you want. :)

It's found in your Customer's Area; make sure your license is valid or your license has to be renewed.

I hand coded the index.php in the admincp folder to check that the admin's ip matches, if not than the admin scripts exits resulting in a blank page.
