Trying to Import with ImpEx, please help!

Hi,

We created a new forum and are closing our old one this week. I successfully backed up the database from the old forum, and have installed ImpEx on our new forum.

The new forum is completely different than the old one, and we only want to import two of the forums that we had. Additionally, we do not wish to import any of the users.

All I see in my Import control panel, is the same dropdown as in the manual:

with the button, "Begin Import". I don't want to start the import just yet. I want to specify what I want to import, which according to the manual, it looks like I can specify to import only "forums", after I click the "begin import" button, but I didn't find anything about importing specific forums:(

Does that button "begin import", actually begin the importing process, or is it more like a "next" button?

It starts the import, and I don't know about a "next" button.

You can just edit the SQL and remove all the forums or just delete them after import. You do not have to go through User import I believe.

I couldn't find any other way around it, so I just imported everything, and now I'm going through and deleting what I don't need.

This is ImpEx's intended behaviour, pure the source or clean up the target.
