when upgrading from 3.6.0 to latest

I have a forum with a few mods on, like banner on top, and a newsbox on header.
I was wondering if all this will disappear If I upgrade my forum, does all this need to be modified again?
If so I wont upgrade, but what should I install if 3.6.0 is the version I run? is there a few patches I would realy need to install because of security issues?

All patches that are released are to avoid potential security issues.

There is no simple answer to the question if you would need to redo your modifications. This depends on teh modifications installed. I suggest you contact the authors and ask if it is compatible with 3.6.3, but most will be.

Thanx, but where do I find the patches? I only find the entire package.

You will not be able to patch 3.6.0 for all security fixes. The only way to do this is to upgrade.
