Is there a chance to downgrade from 3.6.2 to 3.5.5 without any problems?

There is no downgrad path whatsoever.

There is one downgrade path.
1) make a copy of entire current VB folder (VBOrig) on your server before an upgrade. Call the new folder VBCopy.
2) Close board.
3) use telnet/ssh to make backup of database.
4) upload new VB version files to VBOrig folder, (not the VBCopy), overwriting all files in the VBOrig folder and run upgrade script.
If it doesn't work well for you or you don't like it then delete the whole
upgraded VBOrig folder and move the VBCopy folder back where it was. Create a new SQL database and restore the backup you made before the upgrade to the newly created DB. Then in config.php tell the VBCopy to connect to the newly created and restored SQL DB.
If you re-open your board after the upgrade and posts are made before your decision to go back then those posts will be lost, so the quicker you decide the better.
The thing you can't do is to save the posts made after the upgrade. Once the upgrade is run the database changes versions as well. Once changed it can't go back but the backup of it you made, never got upgraded. It still matches that VBCopy version you saved.
I don't think this concept gets mentioned much. When you run an upgrade the DB changes. This is the only part that can't be changed back but if you save a copy of it you're fine.

If you make a backup prior to the upgrade of corse you can go back, tahts reversion, not a downgrade.

But it only works if you also copy all the VB files so that you have your old version to attach the old DB to. Technically of course you're right. Once an upgrade script is run you can't downgrade that which you upgraded.
