When uploading files with SmartFTP does anyone know why it doesn't recognise my url only the IP???? This installation process has been such a let down so far.

Well, there's your answer. A new domain name can take up to 72 hours to propagate around the world.

http://www.dnsstuff.com/ can help you determine what % of the world sees your IP and what % of the world sees your domain. There are 13 Top Level Domain (TLD) servers that all other DNS servers get their information from.

You can point people to your IP address if you want to show them the website until the name takes effect.
