I have a custom built mailing script. It was done by Kunal, who is a moderator of WHT( http://www.webhostingtalk.com ) . I bought it for $50. It is good. I can also send MIME e-mails.
Contact him and ask for it. He can modifiy the script for your needs for a small fee.

Thanks, but I'm sure there are good scripts for free :)

Well, I use ListBot (http://www.listbot.com). But, that's really a service, not a script.

yeah i have been thinking of either upgrading to Listbuilder with bcentral for US$149/yr
or doing mailings in house with a script such as Multi-mail - http://www.452productions.com/projects/scripts/mail/index.php
i read this thread http://www.452productions.com/bbs/read.php?f=1&i=156&t=156&v=f
what's better smtp connection or mail () ?
i currently have 5 lists and my largest list with listbot.com free service is 3,500+ members and i send between 1 - 5 mailings/month
hey klisis how many members can your custom made list handle per month ?

no idea at all honestly. I started sending html mail less than a months ago. I have only 70 (7x) e-mails signed up.
The script is php/mysql. And the script is for sending out MIME e-mail rather than just text mail.

I use http://www.cgiscriptcenter.com/subpro/index2.html - Subscribe Me Pro
I have 15 different mailing lists - each with between 15,000 and 20,000 members in each of them
My problem with this software is that it seems to have issues (for me at least) when there are over 50,000 members on one list. With over 250,000 newsletter subscribers, we found it easier to break them up and sent them out in batches (easier on our server)

I like Powerlist. It's easy to use and configure and can send over 100,000 e-mails.

If you are on a dedicated server try ezmlm.org
Qmail and Ezmlm are the best choice for large mailing lists. Thats why you'll find many large mailing lists like php.net using it.
Also with Qmail you wont have to worry about security bugs - unlike sendmail.

What's some good php/MySQL based mailing list scripts? Multi-MAIL looks pretty nice.

Folks, Topica.com is (still) up - I use them, they're worlds better than Listbot. Check 'em out. :)
