I currently own two licensed 3.6.1 versions, each on a different domain and server. I want to move one of my sites to be a subdomain of the other. My question is, can I install the existing vBulletin for the site I am moving on the new site, before the domain is moved, or is there something preventing that? I am not too sure how I am going to shift the database, but I am sure it is possible.

vBulletin policy is that you can have 1 instance of 1 vbulletin license on 1 domain at a time so you would have to take down your current domain before you can move the files and all to your new domain. Usually how I do it is I close my vbulletin, move to all files to a new domain, move database to new domain then delete everything off the old domain then reopen. Takes time if you have a big database which then you would move the database first then the files.

You can view instructions on moving servers in our manual: Moving Servers (http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/moving_servers)
