I've seen several posts discussing the same type of SQL errors and they usually say that it tends to indicate that the upgrade process did not complete correctly and that may be caused by not completely or correctly uploading the update files for the new version.

In previous Posts with similiar problems staff members have suggested the following:

"I suggest you start by reuploading all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

Now run the upgrade again. Do you still get this error?"

You might give this a try or wait for a staff member to respond.

You can review some of the Posts from this search in the advanced search box using: Error Number : 1054

Ok but my main problem is that the upgrade.php page doesn't open, doesn't run.

Have you tried uploading all the original vB non-image files (except install.php), making sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server and THEN trying to run upgrade.php again???

yup, 2 times. Anyway i'm asking a backup restore to my hosting provider just to stop the critical situation.
