Alright, I'm trying to see if this can be done with vB; because I'm guaging a couple different forum softwares. I have two different versions of a fansite, one in Espanol and one in English; and would like to integrate the forums. What I would like to do is have one domain running the forums but if the forums are visited from one domain, I want it to display the spanish set of forums, and if redirected from another, displays the english set. It'd also be nice to have the espanol interface when redirected from one domain and english interface when redirected from another. The main reason I wanted it to see if it can be setup like this, is mainly because I know I can setup two different forums on two different domains, although they are seperate entities. And I want to be able to have the same forums, just in two different languages. Also the reason I wanted to use this method even if its possible, to allow for userbases to be merged, thus creating a larger forum. Or what would be even better is to display a certain set of forums based on ip similar to Google; although I doubt if that is possible.

Or if none of that is possible on just one installation; is their anyway for two forum installations (I know requires two different licenses) to use the same forum userbase? I mean, it would be nice to display a list of forums based on ip, although I doubt thats possible.

You can create 2 styles, one with the Spanish language and buttons, one with the English language and buttons.

And it has been done many times before to have different domains point to different "sub-areas" of the main forum. You can set the Spanish parts of your forum to override and use the Spanish style, and you can set the English parts of your forum to override and use the English style.

2 forums sharing 1 user database is not a built-in feature of vBulletin and requires code modifications. Having 1 forum have 2 means of entry is certainly possible and people have done it with vBulletin before.

Yes, I know that method is possible; although I want certain forums to be hidden to certain users. I was thinking about having seperate usergroups and display the forums through that, although I'd rather stray away from that.

Basically, I don't want english forums showing up to spanish users, and vice versa although I don't know if its possible or how to go about that. Although I want it to be possible to view the other language, but on default the other language is hidden.

Also, is their anyway to display different localizations and interfaces for different users?

Actually, you start getting into questions about what the license agreement allows if you hide certain parts of the forum depending upon which domain you came from.

The proper way to display different localizations to different users is to use the Style system. You can either allow the user to pick English or Spanish, or make that decision for them by forcing certain styles to appear when viewing certain forums and subforums.
