Can anyone tell me where I can get the default set of vBulletin images which will look good on a BLACK background?

No problem, that have some nice images over there. At least they use too.

Create PNG versions with better transparency using the graphic developer's kit. Add the PNG hotfix for IE5.5 and 6 at vBulletin.org and they will work on any background. Safari, Firefox, Opera and IE7 support PNG natively.

I'm not good at Photoshop or the GDK. Is there an easy-to-follow tutorial that could help me work with .PNG transparency?
