Hi,
I have a forum using the latest IPB and I'm thinking about purchasing a vBulletin license to switch to vB.
However, how can I be sure that everything will convert correctly? Is there a way to try before I buy in case it doesn't work?

No sorry, there is no way to try before you buy. However hundreds of customers have swicthed from,IPB to vB with our importer, so this will work.

Ok. Also, I've read something on the forums about IPBs database being smaller that the vBulletin db. Is this true?

Never heard of that. However there are options available to make the vB database much smaller, including using fulltext searching and moving attachments and avatars to the file system.

Alright. You've sold it to me. I'll buy it when I get home. Thanks.

I converted IPB 2.0.4 -> vB 3.0.9, and the conversion went smoothly. It's really quite easy to do.

Can you confirm regarding the db size?

db size only matters if you are on a really terrible web host like 1&1.
Otherwise, the db size is only limited by your total web space. How big is your database now?
